Kuat Piston SR Roof 1 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Piston SR Single Bike Rack and how it fits on a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. We have ours on the bed ladder rack in our case, we see it on roof racks sometimes, but we see it on a lot of ladder racks too. So if you're interested in using it in this way, we'll show you how it works. The Piston is a single bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting one bike up to 67 pounds and held primarily with this dual wheel mount design, so there's no frame contact. As you can see, we have our carbon frame bike on in our case and I'm not gonna be worried about any damages it's gonna take while it's traveling, 'cause there's no contact to the frame bike. more

We have ours on these Yakima ladder rack here. A lot of people like to use this on a roof rack, but this is how we're using it in our case. So let's check out how it works. Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, well be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number S64710. With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly on to our load bars. Here at the front, well bring one of our U-bolts around the underside of our front load bar fitting the bolts back up through our front platform. Well secure it by installing two wing nuts and tightening them down. Then we can repeat this process for the other side of our front platform. Here at the rear, well take our U-bolt and drop it to the top of our bike rack making sure that the bolts go around to our rear load bar. Well fit the bolts through our black metal plate and secure it by installing and tightening down two wing nuts. more

RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, well be test fitting the RockyMounts Tierod Stretch Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number RKY1011. With the Thule rapid traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly on to our load bars. Here at the front, well bring our straps around our front bar. Well need to remove the black plastic cover, so we can fit our straps back into the head of the carrier. Well then use an allen key to tighten down the allen bolt which will secure our straps around our front bar, and then well replace the black plastic cover. Well go ahead and open the securer to make sure its loose. Here at the rear, well undo all the allen bolts to bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. more

Thule Big Mouth Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today, on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted bike rack, part number TH599XTR. With the Thule Traverse Roof Rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our clamps around our front bar, fitting the T bolt through the appropriate slot and using the wing nut on top to tighten it down. We'll do this for both sides of the front platform at the front of our bike rack. Here at the rear, we'll loosen up one of the wing nuts to bring our clamp around our rear bar. We'll make sure the bolt is going through the metal plate, and then, we'll tighten both our wing nuts to secure the rear part of our clamp. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the wheel straps and make sure our frame jaws are open. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, securing it first with the frame jaw, placing it around the lower part of our frame. Then, we'll close the lever at the bottom of the frame jaw bar. more

RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today, on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be test fitting the Rocky Mounts TieRod roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1014. With the Thule Rapid Traverse roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring the rubber-coated straps around our front bar, and then, we'll remove our black plastic cover. We'll fit our straps into the head of the carrier and use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt which will secure our straps around our front bar. We can then replace our black plastic cover. We'll go ahead and open up our skewer to make sure it's loose. Here at the rear, we'll undo one of the Allen bolts to bring our clamp around our rear bar. We'll reinsert the Allen bolt through the clamp, and then, we'll secure it be tightening down the 2 Allen bolts with an Allen key. more
